pilates

Pilates focuses on the core muscles of the torso. It is very effective for preventing back pain & improving posture. It also helps teach awareness of breath, & the mind body connection.

Fluid movements are emphasized over speed & strength. The movements are often small, & are always very precise.

It is best taught one-on-one because the movements should be tailored to the individual's specific needs.
